We purchased a Colt house in August 17, our first experience of a timber framed house.
Like many before us, we contacted Colt for some advice and Martin came along and offered sound, impartial, professional advice.
In the last two years we have made several changes to the house, putting our own stamp on the property. Martin and his excellent team have been there every step of the way. We have proposed ideas to Martin, and he has been great at helping us prioritise and focus our ideas, never at any time killing our enthusiasm and eagerness to forge on.
The work has involved changing doorframes and doors, adding oak thresholds, and changing an existing bedroom into an en-suite dressing room with wonderful built in wardrobes. Nick, the carpenter’s precision and attention to detail is second to none.
We were unlucky to be affected by an unexpected flash flood not long after we moved in and without the immediate help of the team, we would have been in chaos for far longer than we were. We are very grateful for their quick response to our plea.
