Timber framed houses
Timber framed buildings are environmentally sound, naturally climate controlled, hard wearing and quickly constructed.
We are all encouraged to conserve natural resources and timber framed houses are at the forefront of this; created from a renewable and ecologically sound material and using less energy to construct than a brick and mortar building.
Warm in winter and cool in summer, thanks to their natural material basis, timber framed houses offer an extremely comfortable environment to live in.
Colt Houses are anything but “flat pack” with endless variation possible, architecturally and practically. The Colt system which complies with modern Building Regulations, uses a range of pre-fabricated panels which fit together on site in a fraction of the time it takes to lay bricks, even the rain cannot stop the construction of a timber framed house!
We offer a complete design and drawing service to help you realise your ideal home, or can provide a timber framed superstructure designed to your own plans.
Advantages of timber frame:
- Ecologically sound
- Less energy to build
- Less energy to run
- Insulation more efficient than brick
- Flexibility in design
- Speed of construction
