We bought our Colt bungalow two years ago and have enjoyed every minute of living in it. I phoned W.H Colt and explained that we were in the process of purchasing a Colt bungalow. I asked if they could offer any advice on what to look out for. Martin couldn’t have been more helpful. Soon after we moved in, Martin came to look round and took time to explain the fundamentals of a Colt home. To my amazement he brought a copy of the original plans with him. Martin’s experience and passion for Colt houses gave us the inspiration to modernise our Colt bungalow whilst retaining its original character.

To date, Martin, Richard and Nick have replaced the cedar shingles on the front of the bungalow. They replaced the front windows and front door by remaking the original sub frames from timber whilst using A rated glass and UPVC for the inners. They kindly fitted a loft hatch at one day’s notice to accommodate some plumbing that I was installing. All of their work has been completed to a high standard with absolute sensitivity to our home. The Colt team’s experience and conscientiousness is reassuring, which is exactly what we want!
