“A Kentish Cottage…”
Cedar clad finishes to our buildings are not always what the doctor ordered! This quaint family bungalow in the Weald of Kent for many years has boasted a typical Kentish Country cottage feel, together with painted feather edge boarding and cottage style windows.
This was the theme our clients have enjoyed and wanted to keep, although, on a larger scale!
Having removed a uninteresting redundant flat roof addition and with the foundations put in, work began in September with erecting the many pre-manufactured wall panels; this was closely followed by the cedar wood shingles on the roof and treated feather edge boarding, all just in time before the autumn weather turned grim.
Some remodelling to the internal layout kept the team busy through the inclement weather and the extension was completed in time for the Christmas holidays, welcomed happily by the owners!
