Richard and Nick came to carry out the work; they were talented, experienced and skilled craftsmen. When they encountered problems they solved them efficiently, and were always willing to discuss progress and methods. They did many extra jobs, from fixing a bad leak to removing some bees’ nests and sticking back loose ceiling tiles. After every day the work area was left clean and tidy. They were not just getting through a job but took pride in their work, and were always cheerful and good-humoured. Martin was involved throughout and returned frequently to discuss developments.
